1. How long did Roman Auxiliary soldiers have to stay in the army for?
2. Can you find the words ‘Caesar’ and ‘Liberis’ on the zoomed in picture? This is a tricky one but what do you think they mean? (You may need to check google to see what ‘Liberis’ means in Latin).
3. When soldiers got given this it meant that other people had to treat them like proper Roman citizens. Why was this so important and do you think it was worth waiting 25 years for?

ANSWER: 25 years.

ANSWER: Caesar was this soldier’s general and ‘liberis’ means freedom.
3. When soldiers got given this it meant that other people had to treat them like proper Roman citizens. Why was this so important and do you think it was worth waiting 25 years for?
ANSWER: It was important because it meant they were treated with respect and had more rights but we’re not sure if it was worth giving up 25 years of your life!
